Maddie all dressed up for her sister's party. Poor thing's eyes are still red. She had an allergic reaction to something on Thursday night and had hives everywhere so we had to take her to the emergency vet at 12:00 a.m. She is more expensive than Sam I think. Between the ER visit and a follow up the next day with her real doctor and getting her groomed, we spent a lot of money. We love her though!

Painting the t-shirts that Uncle Chris and Aunt Mal designed as favors. Brian and I did Sam's and we had a lot of fun and they came out so cute.

Saturday was Sam's 1st birthday party. It turned out great and I think everyone had a lot of fun. I know Brian, Sam and I did. The food was great and the company was great. Sam had a lot of fun playing with her cousins. The pictures are out of order but we painted t-shirts first that Uncle Chris and Aunt Mal designed as favors for the kids. Sam got a white one and a pink one so Brian got to paint one and I got to paint one. It was fun! Then we opened presents and had cake and ice cream because I wanted to get pictures opening presents in her cute outfit before she had cake mashed everywhere. She got so many great presents and she absolutely loves cake. I didn't want her to eat the entire thing so I took half away. She did a pretty good job with it. After cake and ice cream, we had a wardrobe change and then Sam played and played again until most guests left and she went down for a nap. Afterwards, Uncle Chris and Aunt Mal assembled her new kitchen, which she loves!

Sam also took more steps on her birthday and today so I think we may have a full-fledged walker soon!

Thank you so much to everyone who celebrated her birthday with us. It was a really special day. Extra thanks to Aunt Mal and Uncle Chris for designing the invites and t-shirts, Mimi and Pops for getting the sandwiches and making other delicious dishes and to Granny and Paw-Paw for making some more delicious food. We love you guys!
