Celebrate!

My mom decided to have a litle birthday party for Sam on Wednesday. She watches her the 2 days I work and she wanted to do something special for her. Sam has a few neighborhood friends and then I invited a few of my friends with kids close to Sam's age to come celebrate with us. Her big party is Saturday and is going to be at our house with family only. We wanted to keep it small and not overwhelm her. Next year we'll invite all of our friends and her friends.

Anyway, she and all the kiddos had a blast mostly playing in the ball pit and eating cupcakes and ice cream. Sam ate her entire cupcake and almost an entire little cup of ice cream. She LOVED it! I don't think she left a crumb and she didn't even get any on the floor or on her outfit. She was not too interested in opening presents. She wanted to play with the first toy and the tissue. I'm sure she will be into it next year. She woke up at 5:30 am this morning crying so I think she may have had a stomach ache from all the sugar. I found her paci and she went right back to sleep.

We had a lot of fun at the party. Thank you to everyone for the great presents and company. Thank to you to Mimi and Pops for hosting. It was a such a great idea and so sweet. We are so thankful to have all of you and it really means a lot to us that you celebrated with us.
