Avery turned 8 months on March 2. She is growing so fast and she is so good! A typical day for her consists of waking up around 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. and drinking 5 oz. of formula and then eating some oatmeal or rice cereal with fruit, playtime, a morning nap between 10 and 10:30, playtime, lunch at noon with 5 oz. of formula and baby food, playtime, a long afternoon nap around 1:30 that lasts until any time between 3-4, playtime, dinner at 7:30 (7 oz. formula) and bedtime at 8! She gets a bit fussy in the evening because of the gap between her afternoon nap and bedtime, but I hate to change her schedule since she is doing so well, so I just entertain her until dinner. And I hate to mention this because I hate to jinx it, but we just turn on the air purifier in her room and put her in her bed and she falls asleep on her own. I loved rocking her to sleep, but she likes to turn onto her belly, so it's hard to rock her now because she tries to turn over in your arms and can't get comfortable. She loves bathtime and now bathes in the big tub with Samantha, she loves to sit on her ABC mat and play with all of her toys (she is really into her piano, Sophie the giraffe, her fish bowl, books that she can chew on and teething rings), she LOVES her big sister, and she gets upset when someone else is holding her and I walk by. She is a momma's girl! She recently got discharged from physical therapy and everything looks great. It took her a bit longer to sit up, but she has it mastered now and nothing appears wrong with her neck. And at the end of the month, her 1st tooth popped through!
Happy 8 months, sweet girl!
