With Mimi and Pops

Last Sunday, Sam and I went to the 1st parade of the season with Mimi and Pops and some of our friends. Sam does not like the bands, so she sits down when they pass and says "it's too loud!" She also said she didn't like the parade, but every time a float passed, she let Pops hold her and held out her hand to catch things. This is a big improvement from last year. We went to one parade to see Brian's brother and she made me or my mom hold her the entire time and buried her head on our shoulders and did not speak the entire time. As soon as we got back to the car, she was fine. My dad LOVES Mardi Gras and cannot wait to take her to every single parade. I got paraded out when I was little because we would catch the parade in Metairie at the beginning and then go to the uptown parade. He wants her to be able to spend the night and go to all the parades with him. At the parade, Sam caught a stuffed dinosaur and named him "Rexie," and he is her new bed buddy! She loves him! Afterwards, we grabbed some lunch with Mimi and Pops and headed back home to see daddy and Avery. Miss Avery had rsv, so she stayed home and hung out with daddy.
