What a fashion statement!

Last week, we celebrated Valentine's Day and then our week went downhill. Avery started not feeling well Monday night. She and Sam both got colds about 2 weeks after her 6 month check-up. 2 weeks later, Sam had a terrible cough and her nose was still runny. They told me to watch her and call again if she still had it by week 3. She did, so we went to the doctor then. This time she had a sinus infection and was put on Amoxcillin. The doctor asked how Avery was and I said she was doing better, so she didn't get checked. Well, she got worse the next week! I almost didn't call the doctor since we had been so much and they kept saying it was just a cold, but I called since she is so young. She got checked out on Thursday and has an ear infection and rsv. I have to give her breathing treatments at least 3 times a day and Amoxcillin twice a day. Sam never had rsv, so this is new to me. The nurse and doctor explained how to use the machine we got, but I think they just thought most people knew how to use it since it is so common. Avery is doing better. She is still happy, but she doesn't want to eat much and she throws up a lot. She is still sleeping well. She stays still for her treatments, but she gets restless toward the end. We really are so blessed because our girls are so good, even when they are sick! Here's hoping that both girls are better when they get checked again on Thursday so we can get out and enjoy the weather and Mardi Gras season!
