I know I'm a bit late in posting this but I wanted to document it for Samantha and Baby Cook #2. The New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl for the 1st time in their 43 year franchise history on February 7, 2010! They had a great season and the Super Bowl was amazing! We watched the game at Brian's brother's house with the rest of the family and enjoyed some good food. Sam and I left with 7 minutes left to go so she could get to bed. We got home with 3 minutes left and I got to see the end. Of course, we watched the entire game again on Monday night so Brian could see it all again and hear it better without a lot of people around.

On Monday afternoon, the team came home from Miami to record breaking crowds lining the streets just to get a glimpse of the Lombardi trophy and the players. Coach Sean Payton held the trophy out of his sunroof as he drove down Veterans.
On Tuesday night, there was a Saints victory parade. It cost over $300,000 to put on and over 800,000 people attended. That's a record for any parade or Mardi Gras. I worked that day until 3 and brought clothes for Sam and I in case we went to the parade, but in the end we decided not to go because it was so cold and Sam did not enjoy her 1st experience last weekend at a parade. We watched from home and I am so glad we decided not to go. Although I would have loved to experience it, it was very crowded and Sam would not have been able to see anything and we would have gotten home really late!
We can't wait for next season! I think the whole family (minus Brian who already has one) will be getting Drew Brees jerseys!
