Football with the cousins
Family shot all bundled up
Daddy helping her catch things but she was not into it
Scared (she's not sleeping either. Every time I would look at her, she would just stare at me)
We brought Sam to her 1st parade on Saturday night to see her uncle who was riding. She loved walking up and down the street (supervised of course) and playing with her cousins. When a helicopter or police car passed by, she put her hands up like she didn't know what was going on. A few floats and bands passed and I held her and danced and tried to catch things. Then she started telling me no and shaking her head no. She started to cry a bit too. Poor thing was scared so I decided to sit with her. She buried her head in my shoulder and did not move at all. Occasionally she would peek to see what was going on, but she would bury her head again. My arm started getting sore so I switched with my mom. After Uncle Johnny's float passed, we headed home. As soon as we got in the car, she was back to normal and chattering away. She loved all the beads and stuffed animals we got for her and has been playing with them since the parade. Maybe we'll try a day parade next and see what she thinks. I have never seen her like she was. It was so sad!
