We had a nice family weekend. Saturday we spent the afternoon with Brian's parents and watched the Kentucky Derby and Sunday I was able to get a pedicure while Brian stayed home with Sam and then we went to cousin Gabrielle's 1st birthday party in Metairie and had dinner with Mimi and Pops after. Sam was pretty fussy yesterday so I am thinking she may have more teeth on the way.

Here's what else is going on with Sam these days. She sits up all the time, can crawl a little, tries to stand and has been drinking from her sippy cup. I was worried at first about her sitting up because she was a little unsteady and she was more interested in being on her belly and playing with her toys. So we practiced for a week or so and now she loves to sit up and play and she can go from laying down or being on her stomach to sitting up. She can crawl forward a bit and scoot to get her toys. She is also very interested in standing and gets mad if you don't help her up. She almost does it by herself. She gets on her knees in her bed now and reaches for the bumper and tries to stand so I think we will be lowering the mattress soon.
