Getting into trouble

After her doggy spa day

I don't have any pictures of her doing it but our little monkey has figured out how to get out of seats that she does not want to be in. (or at least to make me take her out of them before she hurts herself) Sometimes I put her in her bouncy seat when I am doing my makeup and if she no longer wants to be in the seat, which is pretty much as soon as she is put in the seat, she flings herself to the side and leans over. The seatbelt is low so it doesn't do much but hold her legs in and there she is with her body and head almost touching the floor. She does the same if she doesn't want to be in her bumbo seat. Some mornings, I put her in her exersaucer and watch her from the kitchen while I make coffee. We have to raise it now because this morning she leaned her body forward and got on her toes and tried to get out of it. She can't quite reach the top of her bed but when I put the front down to get her out, she stands up and leans over the bed. It's pretty scary! This morning I was trying to change her diaper and get her dressed and she stood up naked and tried to jump out of the bed. She hates to be still these days. Forgot about diaper changes too. I call her a monkey and I think we may be having a monkey themed birthday party. I think the only safe place for now is the pack n play and her bed, although we have to lower the mattress really soon!

Now that she can get around, she also follows you everywhere and especially loves to go after poor Maddie. Maddie just runs away from her. Speaking of Maddie, check out the picture of her after she got groomed yesterday. She always gets a bandanna but I have never seen her with a barrette. How funny does she look? She actually had a little ponytail and then the barrette was over it :-)
