Samantha was baptized yesterday at Our Lady of the Lake Church. She did so great! She slept through the Mass in her car seat and then was so good throughout the ceremony. She didn't even care when the water was poured over her head. Her dress was hand crocheted by a friend of my grandmother's. She even crocheted the hanger it was on, a hat, booties, a rattle, blanket, bib, and a purse with a rosary in it. Everything is beautiful and Sam looked so sweet in her dress.
After the ceremony, we headed home to have lunch with our families. Everything came out great! We had a great day! Sam got some nice presents as well, including 2 beautiful crosses, a beautiful keepsake chest that had daddy's medal that he wore when he was baptized in it, a jewelry box, a hankerchief to use when she gets married, some outfits, a bumbo seat, her first baby doll and a radio!
Special thanks to Mimi and Pops for making some food and for spending the night on Saturday to help take care of Sam and clean up, to Granny Gerry for cooking a delicious roast and potato salad, and to the godparents - Brian's sister, Stephanie and my brother, Chris.
