7 weeks

Samantha's 7 weeks old today. I can't believe she'll be 2 months next week. Everything has been going great. We are settling into a routine. She has been sleeping well only waking once in the middle of the night to eat. We moved her from the bassinet to her big girl bed last Friday. Now I sleep in Brian and I's bedroom instead of the guest room with the bassinet and we use the monitor. The video monitor is great. I can see what she's doing instead of running into her room all the time to check on her. We have our nightly routine of bath, bottle and bedtime. She likes to be swaddled and she falls asleep to the sound of the ocean from the sleep sheep. She has also been napping well during the day but she won't really nap in her bed. She'll fall asleep in the car, in my arms or in her swing. She takes long naps in the swing and car seat when we go off. She also has been cooing and smiling a lot more and we have extended playtime. She loves her baths, the activity mat and her changing table. However, once she has had enough of playtime she'll let you know! She also likes when daddy gets home in time to feed her the last bottle and put her to sleep.

Sunday she became a little more fussy and gassy and she started crying during the middle of feedings and she'll stiffen up and won't finish her bottles. We saw the doctor today and she wants us to try sensitive formula and see how that works. We also got some rx gas drops. We go back for her 2 month checkup on the 28th and I need to give an update to the doctor of how she has been doing on the new formula. Our big girl now weighs 10 lbs, 5 oz! She is still in the 50% percentile for weight.
