Baby Update

Brian and I headed to the doctor yesterday for my weekly checkup and she said everything was great. The baby's heart rate was 148 and we were measuring right on track. She said she thinks Sam weighs about 6 pounds right now and expects her to be at 7 when she is born. No dilation yet but she is head down and ready to go and my cervix is thinning. After this week she will be considered full term. The doctor said the baby can come anytime within the next 2 weeks after this one. She does not like anyone to go past their due date so she will likely induce the last week of August unless we pick a date before then or unless Sam arrives on her own before then. She suggested I rest more and finish things up and get prepared so Friday will be my last day of work and I will likely have one week to do everything I need to do before the baby comes. We're getting really excited! I think it will sink in more when I am off next week preparing. I still need to meet with a pediatrician, the sitter and finish packing my bag!

I'll keep you posted as to what the doctor says next Monday! Hopefully we'll have some progress and/or a set date for Baby Sam to arrive!
