Date Day at the D-Day Museum

Yesterday was National Smithsonian Day and several museums were allowing free entry. The D-Day Museum was one of them so Brian and I decided to go. We have been a few times, but never got through it all because Brian is very into history and has to stop and listen to all the stories, read everything, and watch all of the movies :) We asked his parents to babysit so we could go without the girls. This time we only took about 2 hours to walk through. When we finished, there was 20 minutes until the next showing of the 4D movie, Beyond All Borders, narrated by Tom Hanks, so we decided to see it. It was really good. The seats move, it snows, etc. Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch at the John Besh restaurant in the museum, The American Sector. It was nice to get out, although seeing the movie and museum made me really sad! When we got home, Brian headed to the LSU game with his dad, brother and nephew and his mom and the girls and I stayed home. Thanks so much Granny and Paw-Paw for watching the girls so we could get out for a while!
