Samantha has adjusted really well to being a big sister. She did get spoiled with lots of attention since Mimi, Pops, Granny, and Paw-Paw took turns taking care of her since last Monday when I got admitted to the hospital for monitoring, but she is doing great. She came to visit in the hospital and was very unsure at 1st but we let her hold Avery and she seemed to like it. When we got home, she didn't really interact her with much but she showed more interest yesterday and today. Yesterday she helped me feed and burp her. She also wanted to give her milk and juice, snacks, and toys so I will be keeping a close eye on her :-) Today she was really sweet and touched her little feet and leaned in and kissed her right on the lips. She is learning to be gentle. I asked her if she liked her sister and thought she was cute and she nodded yes, which is a good sign, because most times when you ask her if she likes something even if she does she says no :-) She calls Avery "Abie" or "sissy."
She is getting to be such a big girl and she talks nonstop! I don't know where she gets all her words from and she talks in complete sentences. You never have to wonder what she is thinking because she definitely lets you know. Some of the things she says are "mommy, I sliding," "mommy, I dancing," "mommy, I running," "mommy, I make eggs," "baby crying," "I help you, mommy," "dadda working," "dadda noisy, no yike yawnmower" (when Brian is cutting the grass. She hates loud noises) and on and on. She is such a cute and smart little chatterbox.
Brian and I are very lucky and blessed to have 3 sweet girls, Maddie Mae included :-)
