Tea Time

Sugar cookies are good (and messy and sticky!)

Our table full of goodies. There was a lot of food for a tea.

Running free in the lobby. She discovered the escalators and wanted to ride. Not fun for mommy but Pops took her on several rides.

I know Sam is still a bit young but my parents and I enjoy going to tea every Christmas season so we decided to try out the teddy bear tea at the newly opened Roosevelt. We had a great time! The room was decorated beautifully. Santa made an appearance as did Mrs. Claus, a soldier, the sugar plum fairy and Rudolph. Mrs. Claus read a story and the bigger kids sat around the sleigh to listen. We took a picture with Mrs. Claus but Sam didn't like her too much. She loved Rudolph. She kept walking by him and waving to him, although she would not sit in his lap when he offered. She also loved the food. She ate all of her sandwiches (turkey, ham and cheese and PB&J) and part of two cookies. She got a cute teddy bear on the way out and fell asleep with it in her arms on the way home.
