Happy 10 Months, Samantha Grace!

Pushing the cart and grocery shopping is serious business.

I can't believe my sweet little baby will be a year old in 2 months! She is growing up way too fast. She definitely has her own personality and is such a little person. She crawls everywhere and gets into everything and loves to follow me around the house. She is becoming quite the troublemaker, but she's so cute! Her favorite naughty things to do now are play in Maddie's water bowl, play with the baby food jars in the pantry, play with the faucet and handles on the bathtub in the master bed and turn the water on, and play with the computer wires. I am constantly pulling her away from something. She also loves to stand up and cruise. She loves standing and playing with her house. She pushes her grocery cart and walks around the house. It's pretty funny. It goes faster than her so she pushes it and stands still and then catches up to it. She is also becoming a climber. She climbs up onto the treadmill to get to the blinds and she climbs on the office desk and crawls out the other side.

My parents took her to the park when we were out of town and she got on something that spins so now she climbs into the bottom of her exersaucer and sits there and wants you to spin her. She also loves when Brian and I put her in our bed and she rolls and crawls and dives head first into the pillows and across the bed like a speed demon.

She can clap now and play pat a cake on her own. Brian is trying to teach her to high five. She does it sometimes. I am trying to teach her to blow kisses. She also waves bye bye on command most of the time and does "so big" with her arms. In the bathtub, I say "splish splash" and she starts splashing the water.

She was never into stuffed animals much but she LOVES her pink monkey. He sits on her dresser when she is not playing with it so Maddie won't be tempted to get it and every morning when I get her out of bed she sees it and smiles and reaches for it. I cuddle with it and say it's mommy's monkey and give it kisses and then I give it back to her and she hugs it and bites its head. I guess that's her way of loving now :-)

Another cute thing is that she loves to read and she has a favorite book - The Going to Bed Book - by Sandra Boynton. Whenever you open the book and start the first page "The sun has set not long ago," she chuckles. It's so funny! Of course, I don't even need to look at the words anymore since I have read it so many times and know it by heart. She also loves the touch and feel books.

So, as you can see we are keeping busy and having fun!
