Wednesday at Home and Picture with Santa

1st picture with Santa. My mom had her work Christmas party at her house yesterday while I was at work so Sam had her Christmas dress on and we decided to see if she would take a picture with Santa at Lakeside since she was all dressed up. At 1st she would not look at the camera - she was mesmerized by the trees and lights but the photographer started talking to her and then she started smiling. I don't think she even noticed she was on Santa's lap because I was holding her on my shoulder and just kind of handed her off backwards to Santa so that she never faced him. She looks all hunched over and chubby!
Big girl sitting up
Playing with some toys
Posing for mommy in her stylish dress and leggings
Future fashion model or painter? My dad put his hat on her and she looked funny.

Things have been going well here. This is my 2nd week back to work 2 days a week. Sam is still getting adjusted to being at my mom's house on those days. My mom has a swing and everything she needs but she knows she's not at home. She takes little cat naps there and doesn't want my mom to put her down. At home she takes long naps in her swing. She wakes up pretty quickly if you try to put her in her bed for a nap but she sleeps great at night in her bed. In fact, I don't want to jinx it, but she has been sleeping really well. For the past week or so she has been sleeping until 5 or 5:30 and today she slept until 6:30! She will get used to my mom's and sometimes she will come watch her over here as well. She loves her Mimi but she just likes being home.

We went to the doctor again last month because we figured out she had reflux. It's not a severe case and she doesn't spit up much but you can still have it. Most babies get over it by 6 months. The doctor said to sit her upright after feedings and we have started putting cereal in her bottles to thicken the milk up so it stays down and doesn't irritate her esophagus. It has been a week since she has been on cereal and she seems to be doing much better. She did start to get constipated though and the doctor said to cut back on the amount of cereal until she gets back to normal. It's been 2 days and it seems better already. My parents watched her on Friday night so we could go to Brian's work Christmas party and they had some trouble. She screamed off and on from 5-8:30. We think it was a mixture of the reflux and congestion. It hasn't happened since then. The doctor thinks she may be getting a cold again and he said that could definitely make the reflux worse. I think she gets congested when the weather changes. Overall though she has been doing so great!
