Update

I don't have any pics to post this week because I have not been feeling well. I went to the doctor today and he gave me an antibiotic so hopefully I will feel better soon. He did a swab to check for the flu and it was negative so that's good!

Sam hadn't been doing too well either so we went to a different pediatrician on Monday to get a second opinion. She goes through periods where she seems to be fine and is sleeping well and then she is fussy all the time like she is really gassy and she cries when she eats. I don't know if the good days are good because she feels better or because she is finally crashing after not sleeping well for a few days. We have tried a few different formulas and her 1st doctor said she thinks it's colic and she'll outgrow it. She gave us Rx gas drops and they made her constipated so then we had to start using caro syrup in her bottles. First she said to give her 2 oz of water with 2 tsp of caro in between feedings but it was interfering with her eating so then she said we could put it in her formula. I just thought it was strange that she would cry while eating and not be able to finish her bottles. So I got an appointment with the pediatrician that I initially wanted to take her to but he was not taking new patients when she was born. He said he thinks she may have reflux eventhough she does not spit up a lot or she may have a sensitivity to milk proteins. He does not like the Rx gas drops and said to stop using them. He gave us samples of yet another formula to try and wants to see us back on Monday. I think it's too soon to tell about the formula but I have noticed that Sam is eating more and more frequently and she has not been fussy while eating so we'll see. I hope this helps because I hate to see her in pain. She's too cute! She has been doing okay this week but she hasn't been taking long afternoon naps for some reason.

We were supposed to go to Metairie today to have lunch with Mimi and my aunt and get some supplies from Babies R Us but Mimi came over last night and slept over and took care of Sam so I could rest. Thanks so much! She just went home and I think she'll sleep well tonight because Sam wore her out! We did go to the outlets in Mississippi on Tuesday with Mimi and Pops to get some winter clothes for Sam but we didn't find too much. I don't think Sam is much of a shopper yet. She wasn't too interested :-)
