Brian and I went to Vegas from Thursday to Monday for one of his best friend's weddings. It was a lot of fun. The wedding was beautiful and everyone had a great time.
When we arrived in Vegas we checked into our hotel and roamed around and had lunch. We stayed at the Palazzo which is only about 6 months old and is connected to the Venetian. I highly recommend either hotel. After sightseeing and going to the different casinos Brian and I liked ours the best. We had lunch Thursday in St. Marks Square in Venice. Then Brian had to head out that night for the bachelor party. I decided to go see Jersey Boys, which was playing in our hotel. It was excellent! I was extremely tired after because they are 2 hours ahead of us so technically I was up way past my bedtime. I just grabbed a quick dinner and played the $15 the hotel had given me on the slots and then went to bed.
The rest of the days we spent casino and hotel hopping to check out the sights. Saturday we watched the Derby in our casino and Saturday night was the wedding. I was the only one who picked the winning horse by the way. I know no one likes the favorite but I had a feeling. I also picked a long shot that did pretty well. I don't know if it's because I'm pregnant or because I love animals so much since we got Maddie but I am extremely upset about the horse that collapsed and had to be put to sleep.
We really didn't gamble that much because we were so busy. Brian used his free $15 and he won $120 so that was good but if we had more time he would have liked to hit the tables a little. Maybe next time.
Sunday we roamed around some more and then had our anniversary celebration with dinner at Carnevino (owned by Mario Batali in our hotel) and then we headed to the Cirque du Soleil Love show. Again, I highly recommend both. The pasta at dinner was the best pasta Brian and I have ever had, although the restaurant is pretty pricey. If you don't have reservations (and we didn't) be sure to try and grab dinner around 6 p.m. before it gets too crowded.
We strolled past many shops and I got a few things (mostly bath products and makeup) but all the stores are so expensive so you can't really afford anything. And when you can, it's usually a store that we have here so that's no fun.
So our trip to Vegas was a lot of fun but we are glad to be back and to have our puppy back with us. My parents picked her up yesterday and she was so excited to see them and then us. Poor baby has an ear infection again so she was treated for that and we have to continue to give her medicine for 2 more weeks. Not an easy thing to do! Anyway, she is very excited to be home and she never left our sides all last night and this morning.

Sounds like you had a really nice trip (and good luck gambeling)!
I think my girls trip to Vegas this summer is not going to work out, so now Shane wants to take me for my 30th birthday in August. I think he just wants an exscuse to go to Vegas :-)
