Samantha 1st Day of Preschool!

I am so behind on blogging and trying to catch up! My big girl started preschool for the 1st time on August 31. We met her teachers on the 29th and we could all tell she would most likely love school. She let one of her teachers take her picture and show her around the classroom and she played with the toys. She also asked to go on the playground :) She was very excited on Wednesday, her 1st actual day of school. She even let me take pictures, which most of the time she does not like. She is getting so big! I walked her into her classroom, she sat down to color a picture, I told her bye and I would be back after lunch and she could care less! She didn't say anything to me! I was a little teary, but I had to head to the chapel for orientation, so it was okay. When I picked her up, she said she had fun. She said one girl cried the whole time. She said she cried once in line, but not for long. I think she may have started to miss me and then realized they were going to the playground, so she was fine :) Now I drop her off and pick her up in the carpool line. I love her reaction when she sees me when I pick her up and I love hearing about her day and checking her folder. She has done so many projects - so cute! She talks about all the girls in her class and says her best friend is Lucy. I wish I could walk her in and pick her up so I can see her friends and talk to her teachers and see how she is doing. But her teachers sometimes get her out of the car in the morning and the other day one told me that she is doing great and she is getting more comfortable and chatty :) I got picked to be the room mom, so I am looking forward to that. I have a meeting on Wednesday to see what I will be doing. I think the 1st function is Mom's Fall Tea next month and then Father's Night where we can see what they do in school and meet the other kids and parents.
