For the longest time, Samantha has been telling us she wants a swing set for her birthday like cousins Evan and Emily. There is a really nice one on display at our local Sam's and she says she wants it every time we go in and she wants to try and climb on it. That one was a bit big, so we searched online and found a very similar, but slightly smaller one. We got it in time for her birthday, but didn't have time to put it together before her party or actual birthday. It was so hot and Brian was out of town for work, etc.. So we decided to wait and surprise her when it was built. She got so much stuff for her birthday that she didn't mention it again until we went to Sam's one day last week. We ended up getting someone to build it and he couldn't come until last Wednesday, the 7th. Samantha had school, but I was still worried she would catch on when she got home. He arrived around 8:20 and I left around 8:40 to bring Sam to school, I picked her up at 1:00 and she asked whose truck was in the driveway when we got home. I told her it was the grass cutter and she asked if we could go see him. No was my quick response! I was surprised she didn't see the top of the swing set sticking over the fence. We went inside and played and napped and I had all the blinds closed, but I kept peeking out to check on the progress. Then we had dancing from 5-6. The swing set was almost finished before we left for dancing. The plan was for Brian to be home when we got back from dancing and we would take her outside, but he wasn't home yet. I couldn't take it! I wanted to show her so badly! Anyway, he got home a few minutes later and we took her outside and she loved it!!! I will post the video we have of her soon. She was so excited and now all she wants to do is play on her very own "playground." She also keeps asking for her friends to come over, so I think a play date is in order when the weather gets a bit cooler.
