On June 7th, we went to the insectarium with my mom and dad. Sam did not like it much at all. We went into the movie and she got really scared, started crying and asked to go home. My dad wanted to take her to see the butterfly exhibit, but she did not even want to do that. So we headed to lunch after a short visit to the insectarium and then Pops took Sam home and my mom, Avery and I got to shop for a while. It was nice! I don't get to the mall much these days, much less with my mom since she usually watches the girls when I go, so we had fun.

That night there was a thunderstorm and Sam was scared to fall asleep. Since then, she has had issues with sleeping. She has always been great. I turn on her air purifier, tuck her in and leave and she falls asleep on her own. I am wondering if it was the storm, the insectarium or a little of both. I talked to her doctor and he said this is also the age where they start with nightmares. When we went on vacation, she slept in our room and I had to rub her back to put her to sleep. She also would not take naps! Now that we're home, she did fine the 1st night, but kept waking up last night and coming out of her room. She said she heard noises and she also says she is scared of the window. I show her every night that there is nothing in the window and how it's just our neighbor's house next door that she can see. I hope this passes quickly! I feel bad for her and just want to make her feel safe. Brian and I are also really tired!
