The Rest of the Week

Evan and Emily pushing Sam in the "bebe" stroller. I think Sam is part french because she says "bebe."
At Noah's birthday party
Mimi spent the night Wednesday and got a work out Thursday morning pushing the princess around in her wagon full of stuffed animals.
Life is tough when you're an 18 month old

On Thursday, Sam took her 18 month portraits. She loved the live bunnies. The pictures came out great but I'm disappointed in her dress and plan on returning it. It washed terribly and I could not iron it properly so I had to rush it to the cleaners and even they did not do a great job. Then the sleeves lost all elasticity and it looked like a nightgown! I'm not much of a complainer but it was expensive and I want my money back. Sam was too funny. We kept telling her we were going to take a few more pictures and then we would go bye bye and get yogurt (TCBY recently opened in the same shopping center as the photographer. We've only been 3 times or so but she knows what it is already.) She would take a few pictures and jump off the stool or run from wherever she was and go to the door saying bye bye and yum yum. If you want to see the pictures, leave me a message and I'll give you the info.

We have 2 separate patios for some reason and Brian has never liked it so we decided we are going to get one big patio with stamped concrete and a pergola. Then we'll get some nice furniture. That way we'll enjoy the backyard more and be able to watch the girls play. Friday, the contractor came out and started to do some work and someone went in our yard and told him to stop because we needed a permit. Brian was at Home Depot, but they didn't even knock on the door to tell me anything. We called the parish and we don't need a parish permit - just one from the homeowner's association. So we filled out all the paperwork and made some calls and now no one will call us back. We really wanted it to be done for Easter so we could have a family crawfish boil. I will be sure to post some before and after pictures once it gets done.

On Saturday, Sam and I headed to a birthday party. She had fun playing on the playground and feeding the ducks, although when I gave the bread to her to feed them, she ate it!

On Sunday, we headed to Brian's parents to celebrate my birthday (this coming Sat) and my brother-in-law's birthday. We had a delicious lunch with all kinds of good things - spaghetti with meatballs and italian sausage, fried chicken, green bean and artichoke casserole, potato salad, mac and cheese and salad. I got some birthday money to save and get new clothes after the baby comes. Thanks to Granny for the delicious lunch and to everyone for all my birthday goodies!

The dress was a mom and me dress from Banbury Cross on Metairie Road. It was really pretty - mint green smocked with pearls at the top. They told me to bring it by tomorrow and they'll look at it. Hopefully I'll get my money back.
