9 month well-check

Sam's new favorite spot. She may be fighting with Maddie over it because it is her favorite spot as well. Maddie loves to watch (okay, bark at) people as they walk by in the evening and wait for daddy to get home.

First thing in the morning. I caught her standing and waiting for me.
Samantha had her 9 month well check this morning and the doctor said she is great. In fact, he jokingly said she was a little boring today because every question he asked I said yes to and I had no problems or concerns to talk to him about.

Here are her stats:

Length: 29.5 inches (up 2 inches from her 6 month visit) - 95%
Weight: 17 lb., 13 oz. (up 1 lb., 5 oz. since her 6 mo. visit) - 25%
Head circumference: 43.5 cm (up 1 cm from her 6 mo. visit) - 25%

DIET:
Sam is on a pretty good feeding schedule. She has 4 bottles a day (usually 6 oz each) and eats about 3 jars of baby food total or table food. In the morning she has fruit and/or granola and then a bottle, for lunch she has meat and veggies and a bottle, she has a mid-afternoon bottle, and then she has fruit and veggies for dinner followed by another bottle. (her bottles have a little bit of rice cereal so her reflux doesn't act up, so I don't give her any additional cereal.) She can drink out of a sippy cup but she prefers a real cup. If you have anything in a real cup, she will come to you and drink out of it. The doctor said she can start on more table foods. I am always so scared she will choke but I will listen to the doctor and let her try new things. So far she has had bananas, sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, avocado, yogurt melts, crackers and Gerber puffs. I feel like I don't know anything since I am a first time mom so I always ask a lot of questions, especially about feeding. I think the doctor just assumes I know these things.
THINGS SHE IS DOING:
Sam is crawling all over the place and pulling herself up onto everything. When she crawls away from me, she always stops, sits, turns around and looks at me to make sure I am following her. Her favorite toys are her stacking cups, her piano, her mailbox, her learning table, and her teething ring. She also loves books and we read every night before bed. She also likes to play peekaboo and she thinks we are playing when she drops her paci out of her bed and I have to get on the floor to look for it. She pulls down the bumper to find me and starts cracking up. She likes to play pat-a-cake as well. I am trying to teach her to wave and blow kisses. She also knows how to raise her arms when you ask her how big is Samantha and say so big!
THINGS SHE IS SAYING:
She constantly says da da and has started saying ba ba, although I know she doesn't know what it means yet. She also makes a sound that sounds like she is saying "dis." She loves to chatter and play with her toys and she is funny when she is fighting sleep because she chatters so loud and so much until she konks out.

I think that is all I have for the 9 month update. I wanted to include everything I could think of so I can remember everything and put it in her baby book.
