We told the grandparents about the baby before we went to the doctor and waited to tell everyone else until after. We have never been through this before so we just wanted to go to the doctor and make sure everything was okay first. My parents came over on New Years Eve and they were so excited. I think my mom has told more people than I have :-) We then told Brian's family on New Years Day. We got them each a photo album and baby shoe soap. (The Internet due date calculator was a little sooner than what the doctor predicted as you can tell by the picture) I also threw in an I Love Grandma bib - Brian's mom got pink and mine got blue. We'll see which one we need in a few months!
Baby has already gotten presents from its grandparents as well. My parents got a hooded towel, a onesie, a bib that says "If Mommy Says No Call Grandma," an LSU pacifier and onesie and some booties that my grandmother crocheted. Brian's parents got us a toy, a onesie and a monitor to listen to and record the baby's heartbeat. I also got another LSU pacifier from one of the secretaries at my office and another one gave us a book and a cute toy.
