Every year the Louisiana State Bar Association has its annual meeting and continuing education classes at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. My boss invited Brian and I this year because her husband was being sworn in as the new president of the Bar Association so we headed to Sandestin Thursday through Sunday. We dropped Maddie off at Brian's parents on the way. We had a lot of fun on our mini trip. The resort is amazing. It has changed so much since I have last been there and Brian has never been. There are tons of hotels and condos and they even have shopping on the grounds and restaurants. You never have to leave the resort. Thursday we had dinner in the Village and went to the outlets, Friday we headed to the beach and we had the induction dinner and ceremony that night and a dance afterwards. The Tip Tops from Mobile were the band and they were really good! Saturday we headed back to the beach and then to a private party for my boss' husband, which was really nice! Then it was back home Sunday. It was a nice break before the moving madness begins! We have to admit that we did miss Maddie a lot. When we got to Brian's parents I went to see her and she ran right by me to find her daddy! So much for her missing me!
