Old Lady

Today's my 30th birthday. Brian said he may have to trade me in for a younger woman. He's five months younger than me :-)

I had a really nice day. I took off of work to make it a long weekend. Brian took me to lunch at Lola in Covington and then I headed to Metairie to pick up my mom and go to tea at the Windsor Court. We got there early so we went to Harrah's and played the slots for a litte while. We didn't win but when the security guy scanned my license it started playing Happy Birthday. Tea was really good and the waitress gave me some dessert and scones to take home. I got a few shirts from my parents because I said I needed bigger shirts and I need one to wear to the party this weekend. They said I had to wait for the rest of my presents until Saturday. Brian got me really pretty earrings that match a bracelet and necklace he got me last year. He's at a fantasy baseball draft tonight so it's just Maddie and I this evening.

Tomorrow we are getting the house cleaned for the party so we have to be out of here so we decided to go to breakfast and then go register for some things at Babies R Us. Maddie has to get her yearly shots so we'll drop her off at the vet for shots and a bath. Poor thing is allergic to one of the shots so she has to get Benadryl. She's not going to be happy tomorrow.
