Happy Mardi Gras! We had a relaxing Mardi Gras Day just hanging around the house. I have been so exhausted and I feel a little better rested today. Even Maddie bear was exhausted. She was laying in bed after I changed the sheets and I put the comforter on the bed and covered her up and she just laid there. I took a picture that I will have to post. She looks funny all covered up with just her head sticking out.
We did venture out to Endymion on Saturday afternoon with Brian's parents, nephew and my parents. Our brother-in-law was in the parade so we wanted our nephew to see his dad but we didn't get to see him. We got to the parade route around 3. It was packed. We found a spot, although it wasn't too close and we waited for the parade, which started late. David was on float 9B but we didn't see such a float. There was a float 9 and a float in front of it that did not have a number. Some people let us get in front of them and we yelled his name at both floats but didn't see him. We left the parade after float 10 and didn't get home until 8:30. The parade was so long and we didn't even see half of it! We found out that the float with no number was 9B. It was supposed to be connected to 9 but they had tractor problems so it had to be pulled separately. Oh well, maybe we'll find him next year :-)
