Gulf Shores Trip

Brian and I decided to take a trip to Gulf Shores at the last minute. We left Thursday evening and came back Sunday. The weather was great. It was hot, but it was also breezy so it wasn't so bad. Thursday night we just went to Wal-mart to get some lunch food and picked up a quick dinner, Friday we spent all day at the beach and then went to the outlets and went to dinner at Lulu's, and Saturday I went back to the outlets for a bit while Brian watched the LSU game and then we went to the beach and pool and then out to dinner. I had to go back to the outlets because Brian claims he got hungry :-). At least I got to spend more time browsing by myself and not worrying if he was ready to go.

The place where we stayed was not as nice as the place we stayed at last year, but it was okay. Brian picked the room by looking at the pictures because he liked how it had real furniture and not all wicker like the real beachy rooms. However, the owners are animal print obsessed. I didn't know they made so many things in animal prints. Anything you can think of they had including balls with feathers on them, bar stools, coffee cups, pillows, pictures, lamps, etc. It was crazy!

Overall the trip was really nice and very relaxing. We may make it an annual trip. Next time we will probably rent a beach house and bring Maddie because we really missed her. She was excited to see us too, although she was exhausted. She's really nosy so I'm sure everytime someone walked by or another dog barked or made noise, she wasn't able to rest. She slept in my lap on the car ride home and all throughout the afternoon. Then she was back to normal playing with her toys and daddy.

Now we can't wait for our NYC trip in December! And my parents are coming so while Brian is in his conference, I have a shopping buddy in my mom!
